World Cup Nations Guide is a conceptual project, which celebrates the 2018 World Cup by creating an online space that is used by sports fans and tourists alike. The project was conceptualised and built as part of a collaboration with Sean Hervo.
The main interaction of the project is the large full screen map. Each map has several interactive markers, that when clicked open up a modal window for each country.
Within each modal, each country has a slideshow of images of the national football team as well as places of interest from the country. Also, other interactive content includes a video made by each tourist board of each country.
Overall, sports fans can gain insight into the national football team of a country as well as learn about their history and expectations ahead of the 2018 World Cup. Tourists can learn about a country's people and culture as well as a selection of fascinating facts.
Each map marker is connected to an event in Google Tag Manager, allowing us to track number of clicks that each markers get.
HTML, CSS, JQuery, Photoshop, Lity Modal, Slick Slider and Google Tag Manager
